In a media interview, director of ifilm current series ‘Under the Vestibule’ reveals interesting details on his work, incuidng the title.

Sirous Moqaddam said in an interview with local media that his series ‘Under the Vestibule’ is a depiction of good and evil with a focus on the latter so that what emerges is a pure diamond.

The main theme of the series is on repentance and the dark settings of scenes suggest how the main character of ‘Under the Vestibule’, Ata, moves from darkness to light.

The director also explains about the title of his series, noting that vestibule referred to a chamber during the reign of the Shah regime in Iran where inmates were either tortured in the cruelest way for interrogation or sent to the gallows.

He also said jokingly that if we had 32 hours in a day and night he would be better off, adding, “I still have a lot of subject matters in my mind for making new series and films.”

Moqaddam do not believe in high-budget projects to grab the audiences’ attention, saying, “Making those works fitting into our culture and society and showing human beings and their relations and ethics need less technical complexity, as such the budget for such projects are not so much expensive.”

The helmer has made many ifilm series such as ReyhanehUntil Being with Sorayya and 'Coma'.
